Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik on Friday emphasized the need for Pakistan’s bureaucracy to adapt to emerging technologies such as Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make governance more efficient, transparent, and results-oriented.

He expressed these views while addressing the certificate award ceremony of the 123rd National Management Course and the 38th Senior Management Course held at the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) in Lahore.

Congratulating the officers who successfully completed their courses, Dr. Malik praised Pakistan’s bureaucracy for being both capable and experienced, playing a crucial role in national development and public welfare through effective policymaking.

He noted that governance challenges are evolving rapidly in the modern era, and therefore administrative institutions must modernize their systems, thinking, and practices. “By leveraging modern technology, transparency, speed, and performance in public service can be significantly enhanced,” he said.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Malik distributed certificates among the successful participants and commended their professional excellence. He expressed confidence that the officers would apply the knowledge and skills gained during their training to advance Pakistan’s development agenda and strengthen the mission of public service.
