Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Independent Group and its head, Ahsan Bhoon, on their decisive victory in the Islamabad Bar Council and Punjab Bar Council elections.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing on Sunday, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to the Independent Group, Ahsan Bhoon, and all winning candidates. He said he was confident that the newly elected representatives would continue to serve with honesty, professional competence, and a deep sense of social responsibility.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the vital role of the legal community in strengthening democracy, ensuring justice, and safeguarding citizens’ rights. He further expressed hope that the newly elected representatives would continue to play their important role in upholding the supremacy of the judiciary and the rule of law.
The Prime Minister noted that the Minister for Law, Azam Nazeer Tarar, has been actively working to address the issues faced by the legal fraternity and remains in close contact with them. He praised the lawyers’ community for rising above political affiliations and voting on the basis of principles, saying that their principled stance had resulted in this well-deserved success.
