Pakistan, U.S. Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Education, Skills, and Vocational Training

ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter)

Minister of State for Federal Education and Vocational Training, Wajeeha Qamar, met with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan, Natalie A. Baker, along with other senior American officials, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in education, skills development, and technical and vocational training (TVET).

During the meeting, both sides emphasized empowering youth through modern skills, innovation, and employment opportunities. Wajeeha Qamar highlighted that equipping young people with education and vocational training to participate effectively in the development process remains a top priority for the Pakistani government.

The discussion reflected mutual commitment to expanding opportunities for youth empowerment and fostering stronger educational and technical collaboration between Pakistan and the United States.
