The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation’s (OPF) Valley Zone-5 Country Homes and Apartments project in the federal capital remains incomplete even after 15 years, with roads and other development works still unfinished. The Managing Director of OPF expressed strong displeasure over the prolonged delay and visited the site along with senior officials.
According to sources, the OPF Valley Zone-5 housing scheme was launched under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis to provide residential plots to Pakistanis living abroad. However, Managing Director Muhammad Afzal Bhatti had been receiving numerous complaints regarding the lack of progress and inadequate construction work at the site.

Despite the passage of 15 years, basic development such as streetlights and road infrastructure remains incomplete. At the site, DG Housing OPF Sheharyar Butt and Director Estate Nauman Ali briefed the MD on the ongoing construction of Country Homes and Apartments.
The Managing Director expressed severe dissatisfaction over the delays and instructed officials to complete the pending work at the earliest. He emphasized that the welfare of overseas Pakistanis is OPF’s foremost responsibility and assured that every effort would be made to ensure they receive the facilities they deserve. The MD also inspected the ongoing cleaning and streetlight installation work in the area.
