Pakistan Condemns India’s Delays in Humanitarian Aid to Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter)

Pakistan has condemned India for obstructing the timely delivery of humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka, according to a statement from the Foreign Office on Tuesday.

The spokesperson said a special Pakistani aircraft carrying critical aid for Sri Lanka has faced delays exceeding 60 hours and is still awaiting flight clearance from India. The delay, they noted, is causing significant disruption to the urgent relief efforts for the Sri Lankan people.

The statement added that partial flight clearance issued by India after 48 hours was practically unfeasible due to severe time restrictions and the lack of authorization for the return flight. Pakistan emphasized that these obstructions are hampering the swift delivery of essential aid to the people of Sri Lanka in a time of urgent need.
