State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in North Waziristan, which claimed the lives of Assistant Commissioner Waziristan, several government officials, and a civilian passerby.
In a video statement, Talal Chaudhry said that terrorists from across the border continue to carry out attacks in Pakistan, and it is the collective responsibility of the nation to stop them. “The fight against terrorism is not just the government’s responsibility—it belongs to the entire nation, and everyone must play their part,” he stressed.
The minister sharply questioned the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, asking whether attending to the Assistant Commissioner’s martyrdom was prioritized or visiting Adiala Jail. He highlighted that multiple terrorist incidents have occurred under the current provincial government, yet it remains unclear how many bereaved families the Chief Minister has visited.
Talal Chaudhry added, “Today, we must decide whether standing against terrorists is necessary or political stunts take precedence. Showing solidarity with martyrs is a duty, not mere protests and staged meetings.” He criticized the provincial leadership for prioritizing political theatrics while the province suffers from the fires of terrorism.
He emphasized that resources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be fully utilized to combat terrorism in accordance with the law and would not be wasted on political activities. Concluding his statement, the State Minister reaffirmed that stringent action against terrorists and public protection remain the government’s foremost priorities, and no negligence would be tolerated.
