Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has emphasized Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, describing the province as a land that embraces every nation, civilization, and culture. Speaking at a ceremony held at Governor House to mark Sindh Culture Day, he highlighted that Sindh is the land where saints like Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Sachal Sarmast, and Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai taught lessons of peace, love, and tolerance.
Governor Tessori remarked that the arrival of Muhammad bin Qasim brought Islam to Sindh, spreading its light across the region, and described Mohenjo-Daro as a living testament to the province’s ancient and magnificent civilization. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation, calling Sindh a symbol of love, culture, and heritage.
Addressing the national situation, he praised Pakistan’s resilience, referring to the May 10 incident where the nation stood strong against a country five times more powerful, calling Pakistan a victorious nation. He commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts in economic stability and national development.
The Governor also paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan Army personnel in the fight against terrorism. Highlighting public welfare initiatives, he stated that 50,000 children are receiving free IT education, over one million ration boxes have been distributed to the needy, and “bells of hope” have been installed nationwide to address citizens’ issues.
