FAISALABAD BUREAU REPORT
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said that Pakistan remains free, secure, and fully capable of countering any aggression due to the sacrifices and strength of its armed forces. Addressing a workers’ convention on Sunday, he stressed that those spreading propaganda against the military on social media have no understanding of the nation’s sacrifices and should be rejected at the public level.
Aleem Khan said the appointment of the new Army Chief is a recognition of the Pakistan Army’s professional achievements and exceptional services. Referring to the events of May 10, he stated that Pakistan’s forces responded with courage and skill to India’s missile and drone attacks, sending a clear message that the country can confront any form of hostility.
He questioned critics who undermine the armed forces, asking what the region would look like if Pakistan did not have a strong military. “History is witness, and the pre-Partition hostility toward Muslims is no secret,” he said. The minister emphasized that Pakistan Army soldiers sacrifice their lives, futures, and families’ happiness so the nation can live in peace and security, and it is because of this commitment that Pakistani citizens are safe today.
During the event, Aleem Khan also announced that the motorway from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad will be expanded from four to six lanes, with work expected to begin next year. He additionally assured the early construction of the road connecting Faisalabad’s Gatwala area to Lahore.
