Security forces killed 12 India-sponsored terrorists in a timely and decisive operation in Balochistan’s Kalat district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday. According to the military’s media wing, the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area.

A fierce exchange of fire took place during the operation, resulting in the elimination of 12 terrorists linked to multiple past attacks. Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosive material from the hideout. A clearance operation is underway to ensure that no other India-supported terror group remains active in the region.

ISPR said that under the “Vision Azm-e-Istahkam,” Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain resolute in their mission to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful action against what he termed “Fitna-e-Hindustan terrorists.” He said the entire nation stands united with the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism and is committed to eliminating the menace in all its forms.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also commended the forces for foiling the “nefarious designs of India-sponsored terrorists,” asserting that there would be no safe haven for anti-state elements in Balochistan.

Meanwhile, Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind revealed that two major security developments took place in the province within the last 48 hours. Around 100 terrorists and fugitive commanders surrendered to the state in Dera Bugti, while 12 India-backed militants were neutralized in Kalat.

Rind said the credit for the mass surrender goes to the provincial leadership, adding that the state is moving forward with a clear and firm policy for Balochistan. “Those involved in past acts of terrorism are being given a chance to return, but if they choose violence, the state will respond with full force,” he warned.
