Two key development projects of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), valued at a combined Rs 2.64 billion, are moving toward completion in the federal capital. These include the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Facilitation Centre and the Blue Area Parking Plaza.

According to sources, the IHC Facilitation Centre—originally initiated by Pak PWD at a cost of Rs 1.44 billion—was transferred to the CDA in November 2024. At the time of transfer, the building structure was partially completed. Since then, the CDA’s Building Department has accelerated construction work and successfully completed the lawyers’ block, although the remaining structure is still under development.

Sources within the CDA revealed that the department issued strict directives to the contractor to expedite the pace of work to meet the revised deadlines. The Facilitation Centre, which includes the lawyers’ block, cafeteria, car parking, and other essential facilities, is now expected to be fully completed by March 2026.

Meanwhile, construction of the Blue Area Parking Plaza—valued at Rs 1.20 billion—is also progressing rapidly. CDA officials estimate that the multi-storey parking facility will be completed within the next month.

According to insiders, despite initial delays, both projects are now moving steadily, with the CDA focused on timely delivery to address infrastructure and public service needs in the capital.
