Controversial cleric Mufti Abdul Qavi has once again stirred public debate with his sensational claims about Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai. In a recent social media podcast, Qavi claimed that he is in love with Aishwarya Rai and is willing to marry her if she sends him a marriage proposal even today.

This comes shortly after Qavi made headlines for asserting that he was previously married to Kareena Kapoor. He claimed that Kapoor was once his wife and, therefore, had been Pakistan’s “bhabi” (sister-in-law). Qavi said that their relationship began in 1996, when Kapoor was reportedly between 21 and 23 years old, and lasted until 1999.

Qavi defended his controversial statements by citing Islamic law, saying that marriage to Hindu women is permissible as they are considered “People of the Book.” He also claimed that he was known as “Seth Shahid” at the time and suggested that Kapoor might have been influenced by this identity, as she had not yet become a major star. He further alleged that when Kapoor married Saif Ali Khan, some Indian clerics had declared her previous marriage invalid, but he considered it valid.

Qavi’s latest declaration about Aishwarya Rai has already sparked reactions across social media, with many questioning the authenticity of his claims.
