Indonesia’s President Arrives in Pakistan on Two-Day Visit, Receives Warm Welcome and 21-Gun Salute

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation. Upon his arrival in Islamabad, he was accorded a 21-gun salute in his honor.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly received the Indonesian president and his delegation at the airport.

The visit holds special significance as Pakistan and Indonesia are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations this year. This marks President Prabowo Subianto’s first official visit to Islamabad.

According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Prabowo will hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his stay. He is also scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

During the visit, both sides will hold comprehensive discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, defense, health, information technology, climate change, education, and culture, as well as strengthening collaboration at the regional and global levels.

There is also a strong संभावना (expectation) that memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed between the two countries on the occasion of President Prabowo’s visit
