Controversial cleric Mufti Abdul Qavi has made startling claims about Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, igniting a new debate on social media and among the public. In a recent podcast, Qavi stated that he was previously married to Kareena Kapoor and that she was once his wife.
He further claimed that, because of this marriage, Kareena Kapoor had been Pakistan’s “bhabi” (sister-in-law). According to Qavi, their association began in 1996, when the actress was reportedly between 21 and 23 years old, and lasted until 1999.
Qavi also defended his claim by stating that marriage with Hindu women is permissible in Islam, as Hindus are considered “People of the Book.” He revealed that he was known by the name “Seth Shahid” at the time and suggested that Kareena Kapoor might have been influenced by this identity, noting that she was not yet a major star during that period.
These statements have sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the authenticity of Qavi’s claims.
