Pakistan Railways has recorded unprecedented daily revenue following eight months of comprehensive reforms. Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, stated that for the past fifteen days, daily income has reached PKR 300 million, breaking records not seen in the last thirty years.
He attributed this growth to reforms and modernization initiatives that have significantly boosted both passenger and freight revenues. Under the ongoing reform program, Pakistan Railways has been fully digitized across the country, enhancing operational efficiency.
The minister also highlighted efforts to upgrade railway stations and tracks, with special attention being paid to the Rohri–Naukhundi and Rohri–Karachi routes, where contracts have already been finalized. He affirmed that all targets set under the Prime Minister’s vision for the current fiscal year will be achieved by December 31, 2026.
Muhammad Hanif Abbasi emphasized that Pakistan Railways is now firmly on the path to development and modernization.
