PML-N Political Committee Emphasizes Development and Strong Leadership in Azad Jammu & Kashmir

A meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Political Committee was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan and Federal Minister for Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Tourism, Engineer Amir Maqam. The session was attended by key party leaders including PML-N Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) President and Opposition Leader Shah Ghulam Qadir, former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, General Secretary Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Central Vice President Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Senior Vice President Mushtaq Minhas, and Information Secretary Barrister Iftikhar Gilani.

During the meeting, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Maqam stated that the development of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the provision of facilities to its people remain a core part of PML-N’s agenda. He emphasized that the leadership of PML-N in AJK would play a vital role in organizing and mobilizing the party, with full support from the central leadership.

He expressed confidence that under the dynamic leadership of PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the party would achieve success in the upcoming AJK elections, highlighting that PML-N has the capability to effectively address public issues. Engineer Amir Maqam also noted that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif takes a special interest in the development of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and assured that the federal government would continue to provide full support to accelerate development projects in the region.
