Rawalpindi (Bureau Report) :

Professor Dr. Abdul Basit Mujahid, Head of the Department of History at Allama Iqbal Open University, has said that despair is a sin and that no one should lose hope in the mercy of Allah. He emphasized that challenges and trials should not frighten a person, as it is through these very hardships that paths to ease are discovered. Addressing the monthly session of the Hamdard Naunehal Assembly as the chief guest, he stated that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) faced his opponents with courage and taught his Ummah to remain steadfast. Similarly, Quaid-e-Azam, instead of being discouraged by the conspiracies of Hindus, confronted them with determination and created Pakistan through tireless efforts.

Dr. Basit said Pakistan is a great blessing from Allah, and now its future rests in the hands of the nation’s youth. He also recalled that Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said established the Naunehal Assembly to focus on the education and character-building of young Pakistanis. The session’s theme was “Failure — Not a Calamity, but a Teacher.” A large number of students from schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated and delivered speeches in both Urdu and English.

In her message, Saadia Rashid, National President of Hamdard Foundation, said that the word failure often creates sadness and a gloomy atmosphere, yet for those with courage and resolve, it becomes a teacher. She emphasized that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught the lesson of perseverance and struggle instead of despair. Success, she said, is granted by Allah, and true determination, sincerity, and strong resolve can transform failure into a stepping stone toward achievement.

“Do not fear failure,” she advised the students. “It is not a calamity but your mentor. Learn from it and move forward. Your persistence and hard work will never go in vain.”

Later, the chief guest, accompanied by Shura member Naeem Akram Qureshi and Naunehal Assembly organizers Hayat Muhammad Bhatti, Syed Kashif Imam, and Amanullah Niazi, distributed awards among outstanding students. A special Dua-e-Saeed was offered on the occasion, and teachers and parents were served various Hamdard beverages.
