Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, paid a significant visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), where he held detailed discussions with representatives of the business community on enhancing security and improving the city’s business environment.
During the meeting, the IG highlighted that traders play a vital role in the economic activities of the capital and assured that the police are committed to ensuring the safety of markets, shops, and industrial areas. He emphasized that the Islamabad Police is implementing a comprehensive strategy to create a secure and business-friendly atmosphere in the city.
He informed the chamber officials that the police have strengthened patrolling plans, installed modern surveillance cameras, and reactivated trader–police liaison committees, steps which have helped reduce crime significantly.

Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce shared various concerns regarding market security, traffic management, and improved coordination mechanisms. They appreciated the recent measures taken by the police and assured their full cooperation.

IG Rizvi welcomed their suggestions and stated that continued consultation and joint efforts with the business community will not only improve security but also boost economic activities in the capital. At the end of the visit, the ICCI presented a commemorative shield to the IG, and both sides agreed to enhance future collaboration.
