Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Pakistan after completing his official visit to Turkmenistan. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister and his delegation were seen off by Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Minister for Transport and Communications, Mohammad Khankham Chakiev.
During the two-day visit, the Prime Minister attended the forum held in Ashgabat marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also held bilateral meetings with the Presidents of Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Iran. In addition, he had informal interactions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
The visit focused on strengthening regional cooperation, enhancing Pakistan’s ties with Central Asian states, and promoting peace and connectivity in the region.
