Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared and committed to counter internal and external challenges, extremist ideologies, and divisive forces that threaten national stability.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, where he was briefed on the formations’ operational readiness and key initiatives undertaken to enhance war-fighting capabilities. Field Marshal Asim Munir also observed a field training exercise and inspected modern simulator-based training facilities.

The ISPR said the Field Marshal appreciated the formation’s high professional standards and overall state of preparedness. He emphasized the importance of technological integration, noting that situational awareness and timely decision-making are essential in the modern battlefield environment.
During his interaction with officers and troops, the Army Chief lauded their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security. He also stressed the significance of rigorous, purpose-driven training to meet evolving security challenges.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that the Pakistan Army stands ready to confront internal and external threats, extremist ideologies, and elements seeking to undermine national cohesion and stability. Upon his arrival in Gujranwala, he was received by the Corps Commander Gujranwala.
