NADRA Introduces New Measures to Strengthen Family Registration System

ISLAMABAD STAFF REPORTER

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced important new measures to further secure citizens’ family records and prevent fraudulent entries in the family tree system.

According to NADRA, photographs have now been made mandatory on B-Forms for children aged between 3 and 10 years. Additionally, fingerprints of children aged 10 to 18 years will also be collected. However, children below the age of 3 years will not be required to have photographs on their B-Forms.

NADRA further stated that the birth of a child must be registered with the relevant Union Council within one month. The primary objective of these measures is to block the inclusion of any unrelated or fraudulent individuals in family records and enhance the overall integrity of the national registration system.
