PPP central leader and National Assembly member Sehhar Kamran visited the mausoleums of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto, and Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. She offered floral tributes and recited Fatiha in honor of the Bhutto family.

Addressing the occasion, Sehhar Kamran said that entering Garhi Khuda Bakhsh evokes a profound emotional response. “Seeing the graves of the entire family in a single row brings tears to the eyes. This is a sacred place where individuals who made ultimate sacrifices for democracy, public rights, and Pakistan rest in peace,” she stated.

She highlighted the contributions of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who gave Pakistan the 1973 consensus constitution and empowered the people politically and socially, yet was taken from the nation through judicial execution. She also praised Begum Nusrat Bhutto for keeping the flame of democracy alive during the dark days of dictatorship, and Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto and Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto for their sacrifices in defense of democracy and public rights.

Sehhar Kamran also remembered the upcoming anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan and the first elected female head of government in the Muslim world, who was assassinated in December 2007. She emphasized that Benazir Bhutto’s mission and vision remain alive today, highlighting her struggle against dictatorship, her fight for constitutional supremacy, and her advocacy for women, minorities, and the underprivileged.

She acknowledged the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, who navigated the party and the nation through challenging times, preserving unity and restoring the constitution through the 18th Amendment.

Sehhar Kamran concluded that under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party continues to advance the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. She reaffirmed that the sacrifices of the Bhutto family will not go in vain and that the party remains committed to people’s democracy, constitutional supremacy, and social justice.
