Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has paid tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar tragedy, describing the horrific incident as a great test for the entire nation. In a message issued on the anniversary of the attack, the Prime Minister highlighted that the sacrifices of the innocent APS children, teachers, and staff are an integral part of Pakistan’s national memory.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the true justice for this tragedy lies in completely eradicating terrorism from the soil of Pakistan. He emphasized that the state, security institutions, and citizens are united and determined to eliminate terrorism and extremism and will not rest until the last terrorist is brought to justice.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the grief of the families of the martyrs and saluted their patience and resilience. “This tragic incident filled our hearts with sorrow, but it did not break our spirit,” he said, noting that the nation once again faces the menace of terrorism, with security personnel and innocent citizens targeted in different parts of the country.
Shahbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, stating that full-scale operations will continue with determination until the final eradication of terrorist networks. He assured that the sacrifices made for Pakistan’s bright future will never be in vain.
The Prime Minister prayed that Allah Almighty grants the highest place in Paradise to all the martyrs of the fight against terrorism and bestows patience and fortitude upon their families.
