Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal Visits Ministry of Railways, Reviews Reform and Development Initiatives

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal visited the Ministry of Railways and held a meeting with Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi.

During the meeting, the Railways Minister gave a detailed briefing on ongoing reform and development initiatives in Pakistan Railways. He informed the Planning Minister about progress on digitization, enhancement of security systems, improvement of passenger facilities, and the ML-1 project, aimed at modernizing the railway infrastructure in line with the Prime Minister’s vision.

Ahsan Iqbal appreciated the reforms, modern initiatives, and improved performance of Pakistan Railways. He also thanked Minister Hanif Abbasi for the upgradation of the Lahore–Narowal train and requested further uplift of Narowal Railway Station to provide better facilities to passengers.

In response, Minister Hanif Abbasi assured full support for the improvement of Narowal Railway Station and additional development measures.

Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to modernizing Pakistan Railways and transforming it into a more efficient and people-friendly transport system in accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision.
