WhatsApp is rolling out a new Instagram-inspired feature that allows users to save their status drafts and complete them later, according to a report by WABetaInfo. The feature is currently available to a limited number of users on the WhatsApp beta version.
Previously, WhatsApp had introduced a draft-saving tool for chats, enabling users to identify messages that were written but not sent. The new feature extends this functionality to status updates, making it easier for users to save unfinished content—whether text, stickers, or photo statuses—and edit them later.
The status editor now includes a dedicated “Save” button, allowing users to preserve their incomplete status drafts. Similar to Instagram, a draft section will appear within the WhatsApp editor window. As the feature is still in beta, it is unclear when it will be released for all users.
