Suffering Continues in Gaza Despite Ceasefire as Israeli Attacks and Cold Weather Take Heavy Toll

Gaza (Dunya News):

Despite a ceasefire agreement and the onset of winter, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza continues unabated. Civilians, including women and children, remain under constant Israeli attacks as heavy bombardment persists across the region, resulting in further Palestinian casualties.

According to Arab media, five members of a family, including a child, were martyred in a recent Israeli attack in the Tuffah area of Gaza. The ongoing violence has further worsened the humanitarian situation in the besieged territory.

Meanwhile, displaced Palestinians living in makeshift tents are facing extreme hardship due to severe cold weather and a shortage of humanitarian aid. Reports indicate that the death toll due to extreme cold has risen to 13.

Arab media also reported a sharp increase in cases of hypothermia and respiratory illnesses among children in Gaza’s hospitals. Recent rains and flooding have damaged or destroyed more than 53,000 tents, leaving thousands without adequate shelter.

Humanitarian organizations have warned that the pace of aid delivery remains far below what is required to meet the urgent needs of the affected population, further deepening the crisis in Gaza.
