Advisory to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has described the Tosheh Khana-II verdict as clear evidence of corruption during the PTI government. In a statement, he said that the PTI leadership, including its founder Imran Khan and his team, “plundered the country with both hands” during their tenure. He emphasized that the sentences handed to Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were in accordance with the Constitution and the law, despite PTI’s claims of political victimization and false cases.
Federal Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry also commented on the verdict, calling the case “very straightforward” and stating that punishment was inevitable due to the absence of any valid defense. He highlighted that in the previous Tosheh Khana-I case, neither a dinner set nor a phone set was involved, while in Tosheh Khana-II, the accused retained an extremely rare necklace worth billions of rupees and declared it at a significantly lower value.
Chaudhry added, “Tosheh Khana is a trust held by the ruler, and in this case, a betrayal occurred, with a few rupees paid in exchange for a necklace worth billions, kept for personal use.”The remarks from both officials underline the government’s stance that the convictions were legally justified and expose alleged financial misconduct during the PTI administration.
