PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Calls for Dialogue to Safeguard Democracy

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, has once again proposed dialogue among political stakeholders for the survival of democracy in the country.The proposal was made following the conclusion of the two-day National Conference of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain Pakistan, after which a joint declaration was issued. According to the declaration, Barrister Gohar stated that the Constitution and the judiciary no longer remain intact, adding that judges who could take a stand have already left.


He emphasized that negotiations are an essential part of democracy and claimed that efforts are being made to push his party against the wall. Barrister Gohar said people no longer have hope of receiving justice from the courts and admitted that the party could not achieve its set objectives over the past two years.Despite the challenges, he said PTI is still striving to protect democracy. In his address, Barrister Gohar stressed that Pakistan belongs to its people and its armed forces also belong to the nation, adding that constructive pathways must be created to resolve the country’s issues.
