Bail of Accused in Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar Video Leak Case Rejected in Lahore

Lahore (Bureau Report)

The bail petition of Aamna Arouj, accused in the case of leaking an inappropriate video of renowned drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, was rejected by the Lahore District Court.

During the hearing, Chaudhry Mudassir Advocate, representing the complainant, presented arguments opposing the bail. Aamna Arouj’s lawyer argued that the case was filed after a delay of one year and three months and claimed that the accused had no direct involvement. He also stated that the case was registered after a suspension of sentence.

However, the prosecutor argued that Aamna Arouj played a key role in creating and circulating the video. The prosecutor further explained that co-accused were named only for facilitation purposes, and the evidence on record strengthened the case against her.

Considering the seriousness of the case, the court rejected Aamna Arouj’s bail application. The case has been registered by the National Crime Cell (NCCIA).
