Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces, visited the National Defence University (NDU) Islamabad, highlighting the importance of strategic leadership and decision-making in today’s complex security environment, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During his visit, Field Marshal Munir stated that adversaries exploit internal weaknesses using unconventional and ambiguous methods. He emphasized that clear and timely decisions are critical in uncertain situations and stressed the need to train future leaders to recognize and address multifaceted challenges facing the country.
He praised NDU for its key role in preparing strategic leaders and acknowledged the university’s efforts in analyzing panels and research outcomes. Addressing the evolving global, regional, and domestic security landscape, he noted that Pakistan faces continuous and multi-dimensional challenges, including conventional, unconventional, intelligence, cyber, informational, military, and economic threats. He underscored the necessity of comprehensive multi-domain preparedness, continuous adaptability, and coordination across all elements of national power to counter these challenges effectively.
