The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in observance of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Benazir Bhutto.According to an official notification issued from Karachi, all government offices, educational institutions, and public sector establishments in Sindh will remain closed on the day. The provincial government observes a public holiday every year on December 27 to commemorate the legacy of Benazir Bhutto.
Various commemorative events and gatherings will be organized by the Pakistan Peoples Party to pay tribute to the former prime minister, who is widely regarded as a symbol of democratic struggle in Pakistan.Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27, 2007, following a public rally in Rawalpindi. Her death marked a significant moment in the country’s political history, and the day is observed annually by her supporters and party workers across Sindh and other parts of the country.
