Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that digital media played an effective and crucial role during periods of Pakistan–India tensions.

Addressing the CPEC Media Forum, the federal minister emphasized that discouraging negative propaganda, fake news, and disinformation has become an urgent need of the time. He said that to counter challenges such as fake news and misinformation, greater cooperation among media platforms—particularly in the digital media sector—is essential.

He described Pakistan–China friendship as historic, exemplary, and everlasting, noting that both nations have stood by each other during difficult times.
