Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced that development projects worth Rs 1,018 billion have been approved across the province.
In a statement, Sharjeel Memon said that the approved projects prioritize the rehabilitation of flood-affected areas, along with improvements in education, healthcare, and connectivity. He added that Rs 340 billion has been allocated for the reconstruction of 1,600 schools damaged by floods.
The senior minister further stated that nine cadet colleges are being established, while a women’s university is under construction in Sukkur to promote higher education for women in the province.
He also informed that housing schemes for flood affectees are currently underway in Karachi and other cities. In the energy sector, Rs 69.97 billion has been earmarked for the Sindh Solar Energy Project. Additionally, work is in progress on the Ghotki–Kandhkot bridge and the Dhabeji Industrial Zone to strengthen infrastructure and economic activity in the province.
Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasized that these development initiatives aim to accelerate recovery, enhance public services, and ensure sustainable growth across Sindh.
