Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Choudhry joined Christian employees at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs for a Christmas celebration, where he cut the Christmas cake and expressed solidarity with the Christian community.
Minister Choudhry said that Christmas is a time to promote love, tolerance, and goodwill worldwide. He emphasized that minorities in Pakistan enjoy full constitutional religious freedom, and the government is actively working to safeguard their rights and welfare.
Highlighting the historical role of minorities in the Pakistan Movement, he called their contributions a shining chapter in history. He also praised the Christian community for their exemplary services in education, health, and social development. The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to interfaith harmony and equal rights for all citizens.
