AJK Prime Minister Pays Tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on Her 18th Death Anniversary

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore paid tribute to the late Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, highlighting her remarkable national, democratic, and public services. On the occasion of her 18th death anniversary, he said that Benazir Bhutto dedicated her entire life to democracy, the supremacy of the constitution, citizens’ rights, and the empowerment of women.

Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore noted that she was the first elected female Prime Minister in the Muslim world and set a shining example of democratic struggle not only in Pakistan but globally. He emphasized that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto courageously fought against dictatorship, oppression, and extremism, while placing full faith in the power of the people.

He further praised her unwavering support for the Kashmir issue, stating that she consistently raised the voice of Kashmiri self-determination at the international level. Prime Minister Rathore added that her struggle and sacrifices remain a source of inspiration and resilience for the Kashmiri people. He prayed for her eternal peace and a high status in the hereafter.
