Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed a large gathering in Gadhi Khuda Bakhsh, Sindh, on the 18th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. In his speech, Bilawal praised the late leader’s enduring legacy, stating that her spirit remains alive across Pakistan and continues to inspire party workers.
Bilawal hailed Benazir Bhutto’s fight against terrorism and called her supporters’ dedication the greatest answer to her killers. He emphasized that people from all four provinces attend the annual event, sending a message worldwide that “BB is alive.”
He highlighted Pakistan’s achievements under past leadership, including military victories and progress in defense capabilities, crediting former President Asif Ali Zardari for initiatives such as acquiring military aircraft and strengthening ties with China through CPEC. Bilawal described Zardari as the “King of Reconciliation,” praising his ability to navigate political crises and build alliances.
Addressing economic and social challenges, Bilawal criticized the federal government for ongoing inflation, unemployment, and poverty. He stressed that the PPP has the vision and capability to address these issues through people-friendly policies, including the Benazir Income Support Program and housing projects for underprivileged families in Sindh.
Bilawal also noted the party’s achievements in healthcare and agriculture, citing free medical treatment in Sindh hospitals and support for farmers as examples of PPP’s commitment to the public. He called for political reconciliation, urging parties to resolve differences within the political framework for the country’s benefit, while warning against political extremism.
Concluding his speech, Bilawal reiterated that Asif Ali Zardari embodies the spirit of reconciliation and that true progress in Pakistan requires unity, cooperation, and continued commitment to public welfare.
