Pakistan Prepares for Prime Minister’s Participation at World Economic Forum in Davos

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a briefing session on Monday to review preparations for Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to the 56th Annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, scheduled from January 19 to 23, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the briefing was attended by the Foreign Secretary, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, and other senior officials, who provided updates on the planned program, WEF agenda, and preparatory arrangements.

During the meeting, discussions focused on bilateral meetings, extensive media engagements, and strategies to maximize the effectiveness of interactions with world leaders, heads of government, and top officials of economic, business, and financial institutions.

Senator Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of exploring opportunities for collaboration with private sector enterprises and ensuring that Pakistan’s participation at the forum projects the country’s economic and investment potential effectively.
