LAHORE BUREAU REPORT
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Lahore Airport has released its annual performance report for the year 2025, highlighting significant achievements in passenger facilitation and law enforcement.
According to the report, FIA Immigration successfully processed over 5.1 million international passengers during arrivals and departures at Lahore Airport in 2025. A total of 2.6 million passengers departed from Lahore Airport through 12,357 flights, while 2.5 million passengers arrived from different countries via 12,338 flights.
During the year, FIA Immigration Lahore arrested 242 wanted criminals involved in serious offences. Of these, 73 suspects were arrested while attempting to flee abroad, whereas 169 were apprehended upon arrival in Pakistan. All arrested individuals were listed on the Stop List.
The report further revealed that among the arrested suspects, 130 were wanted by Punjab Police, 105 by Anti-Human Trafficking Circles, 6 by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and 1 by Islamabad Police.
In addition, 121 passengers were offloaded in 2025 for attempting to travel abroad using forged or fake documents. FIA Immigration also implemented special measures to curb the heinous crime of human smuggling.
To enhance professional capacity, 28 training sessions were organized with the support of international organizations for immigration staff at Lahore Airport. Moreover, over 200 immigration officers received specialized training focused on combating human smuggling.
The report underscores FIA Immigration’s continued commitment to secure borders, facilitate lawful travel, and combat transnational crimes effectively.
