Allegations of Collusion in Islamabad Police Station Construction, Three Projects Halted by Court Injunction

ISLAMABAD (Ehsan Bukhari/Special Reporter)

The construction of nine police station buildings in the federal capital has come under scrutiny amid allegations of collusion between certain CDA Engineering Department officials and construction companies, who reportedly manipulated tenders to favor selected firms.

The projects involve the construction of police stations in H-11, Sanganjani, Kirpa, Phulgran, Khanna, Shams Colony, and Nilor, with a total budget allocation of PKR 850 million.

Sources reveal that companies including Hassan Khan Mehmood, Al-Feroz & Sons, Zohaib Khan, Asghar Khan Tarin, and Ilm Construction were involved in the alleged scheme. It is claimed that officials and these firms pre-decided the lowest bids and submitted orders recommending contracts to nine selected companies, reducing the total expenditure from PKR 850 million to PKR 650 million.

Meanwhile, construction on three police stations – Phulgran, Khanna, and H-11 – has been halted because the buildings are on disputed land. The landowners obtained court injunctions preventing the construction. A representative of one construction company confirmed the details to Capital News Point, while a CDA officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that construction would resume once the court orders are lifted.
