ISLAMABAD IMTISAL BUKHARI
Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, visited the Pakistan ASAN Khidmat Centre under construction in Sector G-9, Islamabad. The centre, being developed in collaboration with Azerbaijan, is nearing completion.
The minister said the centre will provide world-class citizen services in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Digital Nation vision. She was briefed on citizen-centric service delivery, integrated public services, and the technology-based facilitation model.
Shaza Fatima personally used the system to access services, assessing the quality of public facilities, and expressed full confidence in the digital framework.
She described the centre as a milestone in making government-citizen interactions efficient, simple, and transparent. Over 80 government services will be available under one roof at this centre.
The minister emphasized that such facilitation centres play a key role in strengthening Pakistan’s digital governance model. This project lays the foundation for a new era of public service, digital reforms, and modern government service delivery.
