Final Day to Install E-Tag for Vehicle Entry in Islamabad, Action to Begin from January 1

Islamabad (Staff Reporter):

Today is the final deadline for installing E-Tags on vehicles entering Islamabad, after which authorities will begin action against vehicles without the required tag.

According to the district administration, the E-Tag installation process has already been completed for more than 100,000 vehicles. To facilitate citizens, additional staff and stock have been deployed at E-Tag centers to ensure timely issuance of tags to a maximum number of vehicles. Since November 14, the number of vehicles fitted with E-Tags has crossed one lakh.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, stated that from January 1, vehicles without E-Tags will be stopped at various entry points of the city. He added that E-Tag readers designed to identify vehicles without tags will also become fully operational from January 1.

Meanwhile, the district administration has urged citizens to get E-Tags installed on their vehicles in time to avoid any possible legal action.
