The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), in collaboration with the Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) UAE, organized a grand ceremony to celebrate the National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
According to a statement issued by the Chamber on Wednesday, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mahmood, in his address, congratulated the leadership of the UAE on the occasion. He emphasized that the relations between Pakistan and the UAE are enduring and unparalleled, founded on mutual trust and strong economic partnership. He appreciated the UAE’s consistent support for Pakistan through investment and humanitarian assistance and reaffirmed ICCI’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral trade relations.
The efforts of Coordinator for Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, Engineer Muhammad Javed, were also appreciated for his role in bringing the two brotherly countries closer. He shared insights into his organization’s performance and discussed initiatives aimed at enhancing people-to-people and business-to-business ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
A large number of prominent business leaders and community representatives attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, ICCI Vice President Irfan Chaudhry highlighted that Pakistan–UAE relations are increasingly transforming into tangible economic opportunities.
He stressed that joint platforms such as PBPC and ICCI are vital for promoting bilateral trade, encouraging small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and strengthening institutional collaboration.
Former ICCI President Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi and other speakers collectively noted that cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE has entered a new phase, focused on mutual economic growth, expanded investment, and regional stability.
The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting event, making the celebration memorable for all participants. Distinguished attendees included DIG Ali Mohsin Naqvi, CEO BEE Energy Enterprise Muhammad Osama, Chairman Pakistan National Solidarity Council Naseem Ahmed Usmani, Sheikh Sajid, ICCI Executive Members Raja Muhammad Naveed Satti and Malik Mohsin Khalid, Vice Chairman Industrial Area Association Mirza Muhammad Ali, ICCI Member Israr-ul-Haq Mashwani, among others.
