Islamabad Excise & Taxation Collects Over Rs 22 Billion in Token Tax in 2025

According to the annual report of Islamabad Excise & Taxation Department, over Rs 22.10 billion was collected in token tax during 2025. Additionally, fines for various violations included Rs 53.45 million for the use of tinted windows, Rs 24.40 million for non-standard number plates, and Rs 8.3 million for illegal lights.

The report stated that a total of 137,259 vehicles were registered in Islamabad during 2025. Director General of Excise, Irfan Memon, said the department will continue strict action against non-standard number plates and tinted windows without discrimination.

He added that a crackdown against agent mafias is underway to ensure justice and transparency for citizens. Irfan Memon also highlighted that the Excise Department provides all facilities online, from vehicle registration to token tax payment, enabling citizens to access timely and authentic services.
