“NDMA Issues Fog Alert for Southern and Central Punjab, Advises Caution on Roads”

ISLAMABAD STAFF REPORTER

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning for southern and central Punjab due to expected dense fog over the next three days. Areas likely to be affected include Lahore, Jhang, Multan, Khanewal, Mian Channu, Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, and Vehari.

Dense fog is also expected in upper Sindh, especially around Sukkur, and in Islamabad during the night and early morning. Reduced visibility caused by fog increases the risk of traffic accidents. NDMA has urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel, drive cautiously, use fog lights, and strictly follow traffic rules.

The NDMA continues to ensure timely alerts and information to relevant authorities regarding potential hazards. Citizens are encouraged to use the NDMA Disaster Alert mobile app for guidance on safety measures and weather updates.
