Minister of State for Federal Education and Vocational Training, Wajeeha Qamar, met with Turkey’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Nazir Oghlu, at the Turkish Embassy to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the education sector. The Turkish Education Counsellor, Mehmet Tviran, also attended the meeting.
According to a press release from the ministry on Friday, the discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in higher education, technical and vocational training, and other educational fields. Minister Wajeeha Qamar emphasized the importance of academic delegation exchanges, capacity-building initiatives, and institutional linkages between educational institutions of the two countries. She highlighted Pakistan’s interest in benefiting from Turkey’s experience in education and skills development and stressed the potential for expanding joint initiatives.
Ambassador Irfan Nazir Oghlu reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to strengthening educational ties with Pakistan. He expressed keen interest in promoting cooperation through scholarships, joint educational programs, and student and faculty exchanges.
Both sides concluded the meeting by reiterating their shared commitment to fostering meaningful and sustainable partnerships in education, aimed at further enhancing Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relations.
