“Probationary Officers of 53rd Common Training Program Visit FBR, Briefed on Reforms and Digital Transformation”

Probationary officers of the 53rd Common Training Program, comprising 136 officers, visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and received a detailed briefing on various reform initiatives. The session was chaired by FBR Chairman, Rashid Mahmood Langrial.

Chairman Langrial stated that digital transformation is the cornerstone of FBR’s reform agenda. The gradual integration of process automation and advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, is reshaping tax administration. He emphasized that measures are being taken to promote efficiency, transparency, accountability, and merit.

The officers were informed about FBR’s mandate, organizational structure, and core responsibilities. They were also briefed on efforts to expand the tax net and ongoing initiatives. Director General of Civil Services Academy (CSA), Farhan Aziz Khawaja, along with faculty members, accompanied the officers and expressed appreciation for the comprehensive briefing.

According to the FBR Chairman, domestically developed structural reforms are now delivering tangible results, strengthening the institution’s ongoing reform efforts.
