Three Pakistani Navy Rear Admirals Promoted to Vice Admiral

The Pakistan Navy has promoted Rear Admirals Abdul Muneeb, Syed Ahmed Salman, and Faisal Amin to the rank of Vice Admiral, the Navy spokesperson announced.

Vice Admiral Abdul Muneeb was commissioned in the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1992. A graduate of the Pakistan Naval War College Lahore, the National Defence University Islamabad, and the U.S. Naval War College Command Course, he has held a wide range of command and staff appointments, including Commanding Officer of PNS Alamgir, PNS Larkana, PNS Akram, and PNS Atish, Commander Surface Task Group-2, and 25th Destroyer Squadron. He also served at US NAVCENT Bahrain as Commander of Combined Task Force-151. He has previously held key positions such as Naval Secretary, DG Naval Intelligence, DG C4I, and Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Operations) at Naval Headquarters Islamabad, and is currently serving as Commander Pakistan Fleet. His distinguished service has earned him the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat.

Vice Admiral Syed Ahmed Salman, commissioned in the Supply Branch in 1991, is also a graduate of the Pakistan Naval War College and National Defence University Islamabad. He has extensive experience in command and staff appointments, including Director Inventory Control Point, Director Procurement (Navy), Naval Attaché Defense Procurement (UK), Secretary to Chief of the Naval Staff, Director Surface Stores, and Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Supply). He currently serves as Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Supply) and Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Admin), and has been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) for his exceptional service.

Vice Admiral Faisal Amin, commissioned in the Operations Branch in 1992, is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies UK, Army Command & Staff College Quetta, and the National Defence University Islamabad. His distinguished career includes key appointments as Commanding Officer of PNS Rajshahi and PNS Alamgir, Commander 18th Destroyer Squadron, and Commander Surface Task Group-1. He also served as an instructor at UAE Naval College, Abu Dhabi, and held positions including Director Naval Operations, Director Naval Development Plans (Platform), Principal Secretary to Chief of the Naval Staff, Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Operations), and Naval Secretary at Naval Headquarters Islamabad. He has also served as Additional Secretary-III at the Ministry of Defence, Rawalpindi, and is currently serving as Commander Coast. He has been awarded both the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat for his outstanding service.
