Islamabad Court Orders Arrest of KP Chief Minister Soheil Afridi Over Repeated Absence

Islamabad (Staff Reporter):
A court in the federal capital has ordered the arrest and production of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Soheil Afridi due to his continuous failure to appear in a case related to alleged misleading allegations against state institutions.

The case against the KP chief minister is being heard in an Islamabad court, where he is accused of leveling misleading accusations against state institutions and damaging their credibility. Due to repeated non-appearance, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against him.

Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah presided over the hearing and directed law enforcement authorities to arrest Soheil Afridi and present him before the court. The court adjourned further proceedings in the case until January 17.

According to court records, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered the case against the KP chief minister under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
