The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council has shared astronomical predictions regarding the expected dates of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan.According to Khalid Ijaz Mufti, Secretary General of the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, these dates have been estimated based on astronomical calculations and moon visibility data. He stated that there is a strong possibility of sighting the Ramadan moon on February 18, which would make Thursday, February 19, the first day of Ramadan in Pakistan.
Speaking about the Shawwal moon, Mufti said it is likely to be sighted on March 20, which could result in Eid-ul-Fitr being celebrated on Saturday, March 21. He added that favorable weather conditions would further increase the chances of moon sighting.Regarding Eid-ul-Adha, the council predicted that 1st Zilhajjah may fall on May 17, which would place Eid-ul-Adha on Wednesday, May 27.
The Secretary General emphasized that these dates are based on predictions only, and the final announcement will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after official moon sighting.
