Lahore (Bureau Report)
An important development emerged in the case against TikTokers Raja Butt and Nadeem Mubarak over the alleged promotion of a gambling application, as an additional sessions court in Lahore deferred hearings on their interim bail applications.
The hearing was conducted by Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi, during which both accused were presented in court under strict security. Counsel for the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) informed the court that the investigating officer was engaged at the High Court and sought time to present the case record.
Accepting the request, the court adjourned the hearing and kept the interim bail applications pending. However, the court marked the attendance of both accused as complete and allowed them to leave the courtroom. It is pertinent to note that the NCCIA has registered a case against Raja Butt and Nadeem Mubarak for allegedly promoting a gambling app, and investigations are currently underway.
