PTI Chairman Barrister Goher Ali Khan has reiterated the party’s long-standing stance that terrorism is a societal scourge that must be eradicated at all costs. Speaking at a press conference with PTI leaders in Islamabad, he said the party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has maintained a high standard of governance.

During the press briefing, Goher Ali Khan emphasized the importance of eliminating terrorism and implementing the National Action Plan. He stressed that terrorists have no religion or political affiliation and rejected claims that PTI in KP is not cooperating, calling such statements “inaccurate and misleading.”

Speaking on the occasion, Salman Akram Raja said the party aims to develop a long-term national policy for the next 5 to 10 years. He stressed that PTI stands against terrorism, supports peace, and does not want people displaced. He called for constructive dialogue, stating, “Instead of leveling accusations against PTI, sit with us to develop a strategy and learn from each other.” He added that PTI can help bridge gaps between the public and institutions.

PTI leader Asad Qaiser highlighted that the people of KP demand an end to all forms of terrorism and urged the federal government to involve provincial assemblies in decision-making. He stressed the need for more serious efforts against terrorism, emphasized adherence to the Constitution, and criticized the neglect of tribal areas, which has worsened poverty. He called for opportunities for youth, better coordination between institutions and the public, and noted that PTI’s rallies are peaceful but often restricted.
